The internet has changed the itinerary I think because I mostly think nigh the internet. School and classes fork over evolved into a virtual sense. I give the axe get in touch with my professors by sending a quick email. I dont have to flagellate class time taking a quiz when I can online before class. I can now event up all my ideas so professors dont have to second-guess my hand writing and to make sure I dont write too big to book up more room. I rarely do have time for the outdoors anymore. It seems the solo time I set down outside is walking to where I need to go or my car. It used to be the outdoors was used for recreational purposes only even that can be done virtually. Not only has the internet changed the way I think but it has similarly changed my everyday life. Majority of my day is spent in front of a computer on the internet. There is an application for fundamentally anything I could possibly want and I can do basically everything on the internet or virtually.. So, I am extensivey agree with Linda Stone idea that The Internet steal my body, now a lifeless form hunched in front of a glowing screen. My senses dulled as my close mind became one with the global brain we call the Internet.
single of the most interesting articles that I read was the article by Paul Kedrosky, about big deep thoughts(BDTs). He mentioned if I quit the internet I would have more BDTs . I think we cant have any BDTs if were connected. we can merely care for other peoples BDTs.
I think it would be better if at least once every month , want zilch but a pen and some blank sheets of paper to lunch in an open, airy space, and just start writing down some unstructured thoughts and questions (as well as answers, or additional questions) for an hour or so, and let our pen, hand, and mind take us wherever they will.
It will not change the realism But itll exercise our BDT muscle in a way that nothing else can.
