Because of this, most people do not withdraw of hip-hop artists as artists, rather, people think of them merely as gangsters who are good with words. Still, however, hip-hop has become a main art form in American society and has made many artists millions of dollars.

Despite all the negative aspects associated with hip-hop, hip-hop artists still enjoy success because of their authentic expression, the intellectual they exhibit th edgy their lyrics, and their rebellious attitude in which teenagers can identify with.
