The Analysis of The Welcome Table

We tend to learn many things from books and literature around the past based on how the literature was written or by how certain things are described. We many find many meaning in literature by focusing on the things the author would say and the way that he/she is saying those things or describing them. Literature is also very important because it tincts to each mortal in many different ways and it has some continue on us as well. It is great to teach us ab off out past and many cultural expiration that we have had and even may encounter in our h anile lives. The piece of literature that will be identified passim this paper will test us how certain tribe behaved in the former days and can even relate to how they behave today. The Welcome Table by Alice handcart, will show that we all can be judged by the way we grimace (color of the skin) and by the way we dress.

As Epps rightly stated, The Welcome Table illustrates how easy it is for people to ignore their accountability or make excuses for their lack of action (2000). This story is about an old(a)(a) black woman who stumbled into an all white church building out of the freezing cold. And they all gazed nakedly upon their own fear transferred; a fear of the black and the old, a terror unknown as well as of the deeply known (Clugston p.40, 2010). The members of the church was broken and shamed by this woman and because of this, she was thrown out of church where she came to pray. With being thrown out of church, she met Jesus on the road. The old woman and Jesus walked and talked to renderher.
